County of Greensville Comprehensive Plan
Overview
Community Planning Partners is updating the county's Comprehensive Plan with an emphasis on development opportunities, housing, recreation and services for an aging population. Additional areas of focus include the adaptive reuse of several county-owned properties and the planned extension of public utilities to designated growth areas.
Approach
The firm has worked closely with County staff to develop a realistic plan that encompasses the challenges faced by rural localities, development issues along the I-95 corridor, and the County's role in an emerging regional economy. Citizen involvement has served to identify priorities and strategies for the future of the county. Special emphasis has been placed on the format of the plan and how the ideas contained within it are communicated to the community at large.
